The Bourbon Review and Belle’s Cocktail House will host a rare tasting featuring Bourbon and Country Ham pairings on Friday, September 26, 2014.

This is a rare opportunity for guests to be treated to some of the world’s best Bourbons paired with some of the best Country Ham in the South. The evening will led by owners of The Bourbon Review magazine and Steve Coomes, resident Country Ham expert and author of Country Ham: A Southern Tradition of Hogs, Salt & Smoke.

Steve Coomes is a freelance food, spirits and travel writer. After working more than a decade in restaurants as a server and a chef, he began writing about the business in 1991. He served sixteen years as editor of multiple restaurant industry publications before setting out on his own in 2007. He is a regular contributor to several restaurant and consumer magazines, a restaurant blogger, a radio show and podcast host and a ghostwriter for multiple clients. He lives in Goshen, Kentucky, with his wife and son.
